How to host a game show
A host, a format, a buzzer and a scoreboard. The rest is energy.

Quiz with categories (Jeopardy-style), surveys (Feud-style), or a mix of quick rounds. One clear format beats five half-explained ones.
2. Write a short script
- Welcome: name the show and introduce the contestants or teams.
- Rules: how to buzz, what a right answer is worth, what a wrong one costs.
- Rounds: the questions, in order, with answers next to them.
- Final round: bigger points, bigger moment.
- Close: crown the winner and announce the final scores.
3. Set the buzzer rules
No buzzing until the host finishes reading. First buzz answers. A wrong answer passes to the next buzz in line. Write these on the board so nobody can argue later.
4. Keep score in public
Show the scoreboard between every round. A visible leader makes everyone else try harder.
5. Host like you mean it
Read questions with a pause before the answer, repeat contestants’ names, and celebrate wrong answers almost as much as right ones. The host sets the mood.
