On a video call, whoever has the best internet usually wins the “who unmuted first” race. Game Show Buzzer orders buzzes by the moment each phone was pressed, measured against a synced clock, so the player on hotel Wi-Fi still gets credit.
Share the code in the chat
Paste the room link or say the four-letter code out loud. Players join from anywhere on Wi-Fi or cellular. No one needs to be on the same network.
How it works
-
1Open a room
The host taps Host a Game and gets a four-letter code, plus a QR code and a share link.
-
2Friends join
Players open the app on their own iPhone or iPad, type the code and a name. No shared Wi-Fi needed.
-
3First press wins
The host opens the round. Buzzes are ranked by when each phone was pressed.
Questions
Does it work inside Zoom?
It runs next to Zoom, Teams, Meet or FaceTime on each player’s phone. It isn’t a Zoom plug-in.
Can players join from a computer?
Not yet. Players need an iPhone or iPad.
Is there a delay?
Each phone shows its own buzz instantly. The host gets the full order a moment later, ranked by press time.
