Quiz bowl practice without the buzzer case
Every player on the team practices buzzing, even on days the official set stays in the closet.

The first buzz locks in the answer. The host also sees who came second and third and how far behind each was, which tells a coach far more than one light.
Mark a wrong answer and the question goes to the next buzz in line. Use negative points for a neg if your format calls for it.
Practice anywhere
Players don’t need to be in the same room or on the same Wi-Fi, so a team can practice on a video call over the weekend.
How it works
-
1Open a room
The host taps Host a Game and gets a four-letter code, plus a QR code and a share link.
-
2Friends join
Players open the app on their own iPhone or iPad, type the code and a name. No shared Wi-Fi needed.
-
3First press wins
The host opens the round. Buzzes are ranked by when each phone was pressed.
Questions
Is it accurate enough for close buzzes?
Each phone stamps the moment it was pressed, after syncing its clock with the server. Buzzes closer than the margin of error are flagged as too close to call instead of guessed.
Can I use it for real tournaments?
It’s built for practice and casual games. Sanctioned tournaments usually require approved hardware.
Can two teams play?
Yes. Put players on Red and Blue and the scoreboard keeps team totals.
